Our group swim lessons provide the perfect small class setting for each student to get the individual attention they need to gain confidence in the water and advance at their own pace.
With swim lessons open to everyone in the community (you don’t have to be a HealthSpring member), you can benefit from our heated pools and experienced swim instructors without having a membership at HealthSpring Fitness. Ratio: 10:1 | 30 Minutes
Children will have the opportunity to explore the aquatic environment while having fun. Parents will learn how to teach their child basic swim and water safety skills and how to support their child in the water. Parents are required to be in the water with their child. Students that are not toilet trained are required to wear a swim diaper under their swim suit. We do not allow disposable diapers.
Level 1 – Water Acclimation | Ratio: 4:1 | 40 Minutes
This class is geared toward the new swimmer who’s not able to swim on their own, put their face in the water, or open their eyes under water. Students will learn how to get their face wet, open their eyes in the water and work on self-survival skills to keep them safe in and around the water.
Level 2 – Water Safety | Ratio: 4:1 | 40 Minutes
Students must pass Level 1: Water Acclimation or be able to put their face in the water, open their eyes under water and swim independently for five feet. Students will learn how to swim a beginning introductory freestyle back to the wall, turn over onto their back to float, swim a beginning introductory freestyle and other introductory skills needed for beginning freestyle and backstroke.
Level 3 – Stroke | Ratio: 5:1 | 40 Minutes
Students must have passed Level 2: Water Safety or be able to swim independently with their face in the water for 15 feet. Students will learn freestyle with side breathing and backstroke.
Level 4 | Ratio: 5:1 | 40 Minutes
Students must have passed Level 3: Stroke Introduction or be able to swim freestyle with side breathing and backstroke independently for 25 feet. Students will become proficient at freestyle and backstroke and will be introduced to breaststroke and elementary butterfly.
Level 5 | Ratio: 5:1 | 40 Minutes
Students must have passed Level 4: Stroke Development or be able to swim freestyle with side breathing, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly kicks independently for 25 yards. Students will focus on advanced technical skills for each stroke and will become proficient at breaststroke and butterfly.
Ratio: 8:1 | 40 Minutes
Swim Club prepares students for the swim team environment as well as those who desire swimming for fitness. Students will learn to swim proficiently in advanced racing strokes
(Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly) and skills needed to compete on a swim team. Students must have passed Level 5: Stroke Refinement or be able to swim freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly independently for 50 yards.

It’s never too late to learn how to swim or to refine your stroke. Whether you are a beginner or a triathlete, our trained instructors and coaches are able to give you individual attention to help you gain confidence and advance at your own pace.
Policies & Information
Refunds: Credits or refunds for missed classes are not issued, but one makeup day per session will be available. Classes with fewer than three children enrolled may be combined or rescheduled. Refunds due to medical reasons must be accompanied by a doctor’s note in order for fees to be waived. Credits or refunds will not be issued for Private Swim Lessons.
Cancellations: Cancellations received up to 3 business days prior to the start of the class will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellation requests submitted after the start date of the class will not be issued a credit or refund regardless of attendance.
Parental Supervision: For your child’s safety, children must have a parent present in the viewing area while swim lessons are in progress.
Makeup Day: Students that miss a class during their registered session are eligible for a makeup lesson. One makeup day will be held for missed lessons per session. The makeup day must be completed during the session date range. Space is limited; RSVP will be required for participation. The makeup day will be scheduled for the last Friday of the month unless the Friday falls on a holiday weekend. If the last Friday of the month falls on a holiday weekend the makeup with be scheduled on the Friday prior.
