Our group swim lessons provide the perfect small class setting for each student to get the individual attention they need to gain confidence in the water and advance at their own pace.

With swim lessons open to everyone in the community (you don't have to be a HealthSpring member), you can benefit from our heated pools and experienced swim instructors without having a membership at HealthSpring Fitness. Group Swim Lessons

Parent & Child Swim Lessons | Ages 6mo - 3yrs

Ratio: 10:1 | 30 Minutes
This interactive class is designed to help your child gain confidence in and around the water and have fun by playing games, singing songs, and utilizing colorful equipment. Skills introduced include floating, breathe control, gentle submersions, survival skills and learning tips and tricks. Parents are required to participate so come prepared to get wet!

Preschool Lessons | Ages 3 - 5yrs

Level 1 - Tadpole | Ratio: 4:1 | 40 Minutes
This introductory level is designed for students who are new to swimming or nervous in the water. Focus will be on developing confidence, learning breath control and proper body position. Graduates will be able to do 10 relaxed bobs, front float for 5 seconds, get in the ready position, jump to the teacher from the wall and relax in an assisted back float.

Level 2 - Turtle | Ratio: 4:1 | 40 Minutes
This level is designed for students who are comfortable in the pool and can go underwater without instructor assistance. Focus will be on basic stroke technique, improving floating skills, kicking strength and survival skills. Graduates will be able to back float for10 seconds, do proper kicking techniques on their front and back, swim 5 yards front stroke unassisted to the wall and dive down to pick something up from the bottom of the pool.

Level 3 - Seal | Ratio: 5:1 | 40 Minutes
This level is designed for students who are able to swim independently and are ready to learn the basics of all four competitive strokes. Graduates will be able to swim freestyle with rollovers for 15 yards, swim backstroke 15 yards, elementary backstroke, dolphin kicks, and breaststroke kicks.

School Age Lessons | Ages 6 - 12yrs

Level 1 - Stingray | Ratio: 4:1 | 40 Minutes
This level will build confidence and teach basic safety skills. Graduates will be able to kick on their front and back 25 yards, jump in the water and recover safely, perform elementary backstroke, front crawl for 25 yards, tread water and swim underwater for 10 seconds or more.

Level 2 - Otter | Ratio: 4:1 | 40 Minutes
This level focuses on introducing all four competitive strokes. Graduates will be able to swim 15 yards of freestyle with side breathing, backstroke, breaststroke kick and dolphin kick.

Level 3 - Dolphin | Ratio: 5:1 | 40 Minutes
This level focuses on refining technique in all four competitive strokes. Graduates will be able to swim 25 yards of freestyle and backstroke, perform dolphin kick and breaststroke kick and be able to tread water for 2 minutes.

Swim Club: Stroke Refinement | Ages 8- 14 yrs

Ratio: 8:1 | 40 Minutes
Swim Club is designed for students who have advanced through the levels or are able to swim 25 yards of freestyle with side breathing, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly. Focus will be on endurance and refining mechanics on all four competitive strokes. Students will also be introduced to the competitive world of swimming and will learn competitive starts, turns and stroke techniques.

Teen Lessons: Stroke Development | Ages 12 - 15yrs

Ratio: 10:1 | 40 Minutes
Each session will provide your teen with the skills and support they need to progress and reach their goals. Graduates will be able to swim a continuous 100 IM, perform flip turns and tread water for at least two minutes.

Adult Lessons | Ages 16+

Ratio: 10:1 | 40 Minutes
It's never too late to learn how to swim or to refine your stroke. Whether you are beginner or a triathlete, our trained instructors and coaches are able to give you individual attention to help you gain confidence and advance at your own pace.

Policies & Information

Refunds: Credits or refunds for missed classes are not issued, but one makeup day per session will be available. Classes with fewer than three children enrolled may be combined or rescheduled. Refunds due to medical reasons must be accompanied by a doctor's note in order for fees to be waived. Credits or refunds will not be issued for Private Swim Lessons.

Cancellations: Cancellations received up to 3 business days prior to the start of the class will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellation requests submitted after the start date of the class will not be issued a credit or refund regardless of attendance.

Parental Supervision: For your child's safety, children must have a parent present in the viewing area while swim lessons are in progress.

Makeup Day: Students that miss a class during their registered session are eligible for a makeup lesson. One makeup day will be held for missed lessons per session. The makeup day must be completed during the session date range. Space is limited; RSVP will be required for participation. The makeup day will be scheduled for the last Friday of the month unless the Friday falls on a holiday weekend. If the last Friday of the month falls on a holiday weekend the make up with be scheduled on the Friday prior.
