Dear HealthSpring Fitness Member:

As the pace at which COVID–19 is spreading has slowed in California and reached a plateau in Solano County, some commercial fitness centers are reopening with strict limits on how they operate (such as outdoor–only services) and how many customers can use the facilities at one time. However, we are confident keeping HealthSpring closed through the end of 2020 is most prudent.

We will continually monitor the status of COVID–19. We see a time coming when we can safely re–open and are using this time to determine how to operate the facility safely and to bring on new management for the medical fitness center.

We plan to reopen in 2021 when we are convinced we can provide a safe environment for every member — especially those with medical conditions who comprise a significant segment of our membership.

A great many of you preferred to freeze your memberships and we hear many of you look forward to HealthSpring's reopening — so do we. Thank you for your trust.

We hope all of our valued members will choose to return to HealthSpring Fitness. Thank you again for your membership.

We also look forward to the day when this pandemic allows us to return to our "normal" way of life, including exercise, fitness and taking the best care of ourselves.

Please do not hesitate to reach us at:

Facility Re-opening

We plan to reopen in 2021 when we are convinced we can provide a safe environment for every member — especially those with medical conditions who comprise a significant segment of our membership. We are continually monitoring the status of COVID–19 in our community.

NorthBay HealthSpring Fitness is not a gym. It is a medical fitness center and an extension of the NorthBay Healthcare organization. Our decision to remain closed was not made lightly. There is still no vaccine or cure for this highly contagious virus. Protecting the health and safety of the lives entrusted to our care is more than a priority for us. It is our duty as health care stewards. Until we are confident HealthSpring can be a safe environment for all of our members, we cannot in good conscience reopen.

We plan to reopen when we can do so safely. At this time we are retaining all of our fitness equipment.

Membership Account

We closed HealthSpring on March 17 after many members were billed for the entire month of March. In mid-July we informed our members that we created a system that provided a choice of how to manage their membership (and refunds).

All accounts were processed by Sept. 1 based on responses received. Unfortunately, our deadline for processing refunds, which was communicated several weeks ago, has closed.

If we did not hear from you, your membership has been “frozen” until we re-open. A great many members let us know they preferred to freeze their membership while looking forward to HealthSpring’s reopening.

No. During our closure, members will not be charged dues. Even after we reopen HealthSpring, we will not begin charging monthly dues until you sign a new membership agreement.

You can monitor the status of HealthSpring Fitness by visiting our website at www.HealthSpringFitness.org. When the re-opening date is determined and scheduled, we will reach out to every member in advance of the re-opening date with information, and reactivate your account. You can also reach us directly at (707) 624-8080 or email us at: HealthSpring@NorthBay.org with questions, and to ensure that we have your most current contact information on file.

Yes. Gift cards and services purchased by members and non-members are “frozen”, just like fitness center memberships. Refunds are not available. Once HealthSpring Fitness re-opens, you can use your services, gift cards and/or gift card balances.

Since our processing window closed on Sept. 1, refunds for dues, gift cards and services are no longer available. If you would still like to cancel your membership without receiving a refund, you can reach us at (707) 624-8080 or email us at: HealthSpring@NorthBay.org

Further information, as available will be communicated via email (based on the information connected to your member record), social media, and on the center’s website. Inquiries can also be made to HealthSpring@NorthBay.org

We will continue to update you with information about our facility as we learn more and the situation evolves. If you have any questions, you can reach us at (707) 624-8080 or email us at:
HealthSpring@NorthBay.org

Due to limited resources, we are able to respond to email inquiries more promptly than phone calls and thank you in advance for your patience and understanding during this extraordinary time.
